Commitment to Quality
Bord na Móna Environmental Limited consistently strives to improve the quality of the analytical work carried out in its laboratories through a programme of continuous improvement and quality audits. It is the policy of the laboratories to achieve and maintain a high standard of quality consistent with the client’s requirements in all aspects of the work carried out within the laboratory.

Accreditation
Bord na Móna's Environmental Consultancy Services analytical laboratories were awarded INAB accreditation by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) in 1997.

The laboratory successfully transferred to the ISO 17025 standard in 2001 and are accredited for a broad range of chemical parameters as detailed in the scope of accreditation which can be found on the INAB  website www.inab.ie

Interlaboratory Proficiency Schemes
To ensure the accuracy of the analytical testing the laboratory participates in several external proficiency schemes. The ongoing competence of the laboratory and its staff is assessed by participation in various inter-laboratory proficiency testing schemes, such as Aquacheck and the EPA scheme organised for environmental laboratories throughout Ireland.

EPA Quality Control Register
Bord na Móna Environmental Limited’s performance in this scheme has allowed its listing on the EPA’s register of Quality Controlled Laboratories. Both accredited and non-accredited test methods are assessed by these schemes.
