BnM has the need for a Treasury Accountant. The Treasury & Capital Planning team is responsible for the company’s treasury operations and manage the capital structure to support the strategic goals of the renewable energy business. This successful applicant may be a newly qualified accountant with some level of treasury operational experience. The role will primarily support the Treasury manager, allowing the newly appointed Treasury Manager to under-take wider Team responsibilities and upskill. This individual may also work with the Capital Planning Manager at times, allowing the team to create a dynamic junior individual whilst allowing Management role holders to upskill across other areas of expertise within the Treasury and Capital Planning team.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Trade Finance Administration: Attend to trade
finance products and guarantees, ensuring timely and accurate execution in
line with policy. - Cash Forecasting and Treasury Operations: Maintain
and update both short-term and long-term forecast. Variation analysis
required on same. Manage all bank accounts, including opening and closing
accounts and maintaining appropriate access rights, processing treasury
related invoices and internal funding workflows. Successful applicant is
expected to work with our banking partners and optimise costs and benefits
from such partners. - Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Management: Execute
and report on FX hedging activities to manage currency risk. Monitor
liquidity positions and contribute to strategic planning. Optimise returns
by investing excess cash in line with risk appetite. - Special Projects: Represent Treasury in
high-impact projects related to development pipeline, M&A activities,
treasury automation and other special projects as required. - Compliance: Ensure compliance with Treasury
policies, procedures, and controls, and engage with internal and external
auditors on inquiries and requests, while making suggestions for process
improvements. - All employees are expected to co-operate fully
with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety,
and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises. - Proactively participate in the Performance
Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s
objectives.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
- 2 years + of experience in banking, treasury
or corporate finance (or newly qualified accountant). - Relevant degree in Business, Corporate
Finance, and accountant qualification highly desirable. - Highly ambitious individual with junior
experience in Treasury management or newly qualified accountant.
