BnM has a large landbank and a diverse portfolio of projects in its development pipeline, including onshore wind, solar, energy storage, thermal generation, and emerging technologies designed to address the evolving needs of the energy system.
As a Graduate Commercial Analyst, you will support the Commercial function in developing and advancing projects through the full lifecycle. This includes activities such as securing a route to market, identifying and assessing strategic grid opportunities and ensuring optimal approaches are taken to unlock the full potential of BnM’s pipeline.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Project Development: Support
Assist in planning and developing a pipeline of thermal, renewable, storage, and flexible technology projects.
Support delivery of commercial milestones, including route to market strategies and progression to financial close. - Data & Market Analysis: Record, analyse, and present market, operational, and grid data to support decision-making.
Create reports, dashboards, and models to track performance and highlight risks/opportunities.
Perform calculations, generate diagrams, and support resolution of technical and commercial challenges. - Commercial & Financial Support: Assist with project budgets, business cases, and risk analysis.
Contribute to the preparation of materials for governance meetings, investment approvals, and senior stakeholder updates. - Database Management: Collect, organize, and manage large datasets related to energy market operations, pricing, and customer behaviour. Standardise the various competitor databases (Wind, Solar, Thermal etc.) and ensure the management of these databases is documented in comprehensive procedures.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, legal, regulatory and development to align commercial strategies with overall business objectives.

- Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s, objectives.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Third level degree (min 2:1 classification) in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data analysis tools or visualisation software is an advantage.
- Experienced in SQL & Python desirable.
