Bord na Móna and Coillte collaborate to transform 1500 hectares into native woodland
Bord na Móna announces today, their collaboration with Coillte, to transform former peat production land into native woodland. 1500 hectares of bog no longer used for peat production will be initially targeted in Offaly, Laois, Westmeath, and Tipperary for plantation of 600,000 new trees.

Bord na Móna has submitted a planning application to An Bord Pleanála for the proposed 96MW Derryadd windfarm. The proposed development will be situated on cutaway peatlands on Derryadd, Derryaroge and Lough Bannow bogs located in South Co. Longford.
