The Shannon Flood Risk State Agency Co-ordination Working Group at its meeting in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim on 2 December, 2016 took a major decision to develop a plan for a strategic maintenance programme on the River Shannon.

Leinster GAA have announced a three year extension of their partnership with Bord na Móna as sponsors of the Leinster GAA Series which incorporates the O’Byrne, Walsh and Kehoe Cups in January.

Bord na Móna’s new €1.5 million euro Mountlucas Centre, a fabulous building located in the heart of Mountlucas Wind farm, was officially opened this morning by Bord na Móna Chairman John Horgan and members of the local community.
