BnM currently wish to recruit Trainee Accountants to join our Accounting/Finance Graduate Programme. The duration of the training contract is typically three and a half years depending on exam exemptions. The programme is comprised of various rotations, each rotation will involve a different area of the finance functions and subsequently the successful candidate will report to a different Hiring Manager.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

  • Proactively support the line manager in the delivery of assigned projects, using these opportunities to put in to practice much of the theory you have learned in college and developing the prescribed competency as per the graduate competency development framework.
  • Proactively participate in the Graduate development workshops.
  • Build a network of contacts throughout the finance functions where they are assigned.
  • Engage regularly with assigned mentor to broaden your knowledge of the organisation and to identify key areas to focus your development on.
  • Proactively participate as part of the team to whom you are assigned. Provide support to other team projects as requested.
  • All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.
  • Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s, objectives.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • Minimum 2:1 Honours Level Degree in Business or other relevant discipline (or may have completed Accounting Technician qualification and wish to continue to ACA).
  • Proficient in MS Office. 
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both individually and as part of a team. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Be flexible and prepared to work in any required areas.
  • A desire to pursue a career in accounting and complete ACA exams as part of the programme.
